Jerry Hutchinson, Jr., DO
As an Internal Medicine physician, I enjoy working with my patients to address their health concerns, frequently using problem solving for the more challenging issues. I often work with medically complex patients including those with diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal disorders. It is always satisfying when I can help improve a patient’s health.
When treating a patient, I try to make that individual my sole focus during the appointment. By actively listening and evaluating the symptoms and health concerns he or she shares, I am able to plan a pathway to better health—whether preventive or interventional. I treat patients 18 years of age and older.
In addition to extensive outpatient, ambulatory medicine experience, I have been a hospitalist caring for the sickest patients in state-of-the-art healthcare settings. My practice experience also includes specialized populations where I provided humanitarian care in austere settings. This gives me a broad base for managing both chronic and acute health issues.
In my free time, I enjoy wilderness backpacking and hiking.
